She was bummed I saw the Taco running and asked are you leaving me?? Nope trying to get it to Remote Start off the Key Fob!! She said the Salesman said how to but I forgot! OK she did not sound happy cause she has been trying for a while. Got the push twice in 2 seconds, light flash and hold a 3rd time I think right? But the lights flash and no start. SO I said the Taco Board has lots of guys who can so anything to there Taco and will come to your rescue on how it is done. So please don't let me down now, so I get some brownie points later!! I will send her the way to do it. Thanks!

If this is a factory push-start Tacoma, then yes you should just need to press the lock button 3x and hold the button down on the 3rd press until it starts up. That's how it works on my 21 Off-Road. I don't use it because Toyota decided the vehicle needs to turn itself off when you open the door.. but that's how the remote start is operated.

If it has the right package it is press twice and hold on the third. I don’t have it but that’s what I was shown when a salesman tried to sell me an auto. I bought a manual.

Thanks we will give that a try. WOW It worked!! I even got to show her how and most of the time it is her showing me this stuff. She said thank you very much now the Taco can be warmed up with out me freezing my butt of to go out and do it first before we go to town!!

PS I think the whole time was that we did not hold it long enough for it to start which is not right away you have to wait some for it to happen. But it works.

One more PS; We now have All State insurance and the get back money plan. I like it got back $313.00 since Dec 2nd due to never going over 80 MPH, No wrecks, No Hard Brakes, and No Driving during the time they think is bad?? 24,000 plus points so far. Daughter comes over at 5:00AM on her Quad to feed and it picked her up on her phone. I don't have a cell phone so I can haul ass when I want or slam on the brakes!

Same. I tried it on my 2019 knowing full well it doesn't have remote start - no luck. I'll try it on my wife when she gets home.

Lol the title is what got my attention. It could be taken way out of context. I mean if my brother called and said that to me I would wear him out.
I mean no offense to Willy or his wife but it is funny.

Make sure to do a long hold on the 3rd press.

Just spit balling here, I installed the n2 remote starter, but wondering if the doors aren’t locked… does the first button push lock the truck, and not count as the first of button click to start the truck? I think it’s a prerequisite that the truck is locked for remote start to work?

Only you know your wife and her taco well enough to answer these questions, what buttons to press and how hard and how often and so forth. The crowd here would be merely speculating. Awkward for all parties.
