Army Green thread: let’s keep it green!

Thanks man and greatly appreciate the welcome. So much info on here that I have literally scoured through threads the entire day and not even made a scratch… unlike using jade to clear snow/ice of windshields. (Sorry just read on another thread and couldn’t help it)

 

those are factory on the 2022 trail edition.

 

Toyota OEM, Trail Edition wheels! They are a bronze version of this year's Pro wheels I believe.

In the market to lift this thing. So many options

 

I am looking into a lift also. Just added Falken Wildpeak 265x75x16, thinking about a 1.5" front and a 1/2" rear. Leaning towards the oem Trd Lift, front and rear shocks only $350

 

Can you buy just the shocks? I went on the Toyota parts site, and even though you can pull up the part number for an individual component included in the TRD lift kit, it said you had to order the entire kit to get any of the parts.

 

Got some matching Army Green vinyl and worked on my shift knob. Not perfect but not bad for my first shot. I still need to work the edges a bit. The center piece with the TRD logo doesn't come off so I had to cover/cut it in place and then put black vinyl letters in place.

 

Michigan recently came out with this new plate style. I love the simplicity. Technically it's a vanity plate that I designed to look not like a vanity plate. Given all the love for Army Green here, i figure you guys might appreciate my choice in random but not so random numbers and letters. The Toyota paint code for Army Green is 6V7.

So Im told today that even with a "Special Order" that they can't get the Lunar rock color and can only get Black, which I feel is Total BS, and i may cancel the order and go buy a Ram truck instead, and keep the present tacoma or give it to my son. he is upset that he cant get the color he wants. Not cool...

 

I have been researching this and yes you can buy just the fronts, rears or both.

Dealer said they could not get the shocks from the factory. They are unavailable currently as Shocks Only. I wonder why they advertise them as available. Oh well wasn't meant to be. I'll save up and get 6112's.

 

Did they give a reason? Lunar rock is a really hot color. When I bought my AGOR in the back of my mind was a voice telling me to wait a year for the lunar rock. I’m glad I pulled the trigger on the AG but it almost didn’t happen. So I’d probably be in the same boat.That’s really odd all you can get is black. Personally I’d rather have any color Tacoma than a Ram but that’s just me. Good luck with your choice!

 

Looks awesome COL. Is the vinyl adhesive or did you have to add that? I really want to do this to some of my dash trim.

 

Their reason is thats all their allotment allows them to get this month, so im going to search farther and see what i can find around the area.

 

Oh and another thing, i didn't order the Toyota hard fold tonneau cover, but I'm told it was added at the factory and i told the saleswoman whom i am dealing with I don't Want it, she said that can't remove it. Guess I will sell it, anyone in Massachusetts looking for a Toyota tonneau cover

 

The vinyl is adhesive - put it on, add some heat and shape it. I just used a lamp to warm the vinyl up.

 

I work at a CJDR dealer, unfortunately what they say might be true. Make sure that your favorite paint code is available for production before you cancel your Toyota allocation order. Orders of Sarge Green is available in limited models right now and many colors are not in production such as Snazzberry.
