Sorry to hear you are having a tough time. While I'm new here, I'm not new to the family members being hospitalized. Wishing you and your family all the best.

Hi. Noticed when this thread was started and ages of some folks then...which means we are pretty much the same age now. I never feel old, until I have to look in a mirror then it becomes rather shocking.
It helps to have a sticker in the window of my Taco "If it's too loud, You're too old" while blasting Tool/Filter/Rob Zombie/sometimes 80's grunge or crunchy rock.
Hope all have a decent weekend!

Welcome @OldTacoDD ! There's a test on page 1. Kinda of a requirement for everyone posting in here.

Hey @US Marine we got another 1st gen owner in here! :woot:

lol, At this age if a test is involved it's going to come in last.
Like walking into a room 5 times and still forgetting why you went in there ;)

PS: My 1st Taco was an 86' single cab 4x4. If that isn't a first gen, is it a pre-gen? Seriously, I'm not sure what that would have been called.

    pre taco for sure.
    the tacoma generations are:
    1st gen = 97-04
    2nd gen = 05-15
    turd...sorry 3rd gen 16-now

I have a 99. got it in 07, sold it to dad in 14, bought it back from dad in 19. its my baby.
learned to drive in a 94 toy truck. and dad had a 77 pea soup green hilux when i was a little kid. i cried when he sold it. i think that early trauma led to my current love of toy trucks!

It's friday night, got a cold one and I'm taking a test....

    1. None of them. Was farm raised and never got used to the taste of anything that isn't made at home (yea, suck answer but true)
    2. Yelling at them
    3. Both though only have 2 dogs now down from 3 dogs and 4 cats
    4. Is there any other kind of Mopar porn?
    5. Tea. Cold, hot, all day.
    6. BACON AS IN THE REAL KIND FARM RAISED AND BUTCHERED (hmmm...a tad picky?)
    7. Whichever way it ends up after having to put a new roll on in the middle of the night
    8. DST sucks. Cows don't care what time it is. Ever.
    9. True medium (that's a full 6 minutes, both sides included)
    10. General chit chat Fº. Work K & M
    11. Mayo
    12. Wasn't there another question?????????????????????????????????????????

    @MTgirl
Wow, I always wondered about that. Thanks for clearing it up!
I *might* go for a 2020 but nothing else interests me and yet, I still have my 02' baby ;) Edit: I miss the wing windows on the pre-gen!

Oh wow! That would make me cry too, a 77' Hilux is a rare toy to be sure.
Funny thing, I taught my son to drive on the 86' tacoma. After getting married and had a kid, he caved into his "want" and bought a 2015 Taco short bed, won't get rid of it. Couple of months ago they bought a 2021 4Runner for the wife - for some reason we have no problem getting or having Toyota trucks in the PNW.

I walked a tight line in basic training (1981-82) between enough coffee and having to urinate all the damn time in formation.
