    Aloha everyone!

We’re passing through and staying in Yuma for a few and I want to go look at the dunes off of HWY 8 by midway campground and Dune Buggy flats.

I’m not going to try to go deep into the dunes but just cruise north near the canal. Is this doable in a stock rig on my own or am I asking for trouble or is there somewhere else I should go?

    Much appreciated, Mark

Air down, like down to 15lbs and you should be good just stop on hard pack.

That said I haven't been been in years. Good luck.

Thanks, we ended up just checking out a couple of the campsites and south side of I8. First experience of driving on sand and could see how easily a heavy truck could get stuck. Did play in the sand for a bit doing 30-40 through some whoops and small hills through the electric pylons :bikewhoops:

Ultimately we played it safe and did a little walking through the dunes too, took a few photos and played with the drone... all in a good day out!

Best time of year to be out there.
I've been itching to go play in the sand
