Just seeing if anyone else has experienced a similar issue...

I have a 17' TRD Pro with factory headlights (LED DRL). I have a LIL Bs Fab front bumper installed which is probably part of the problem.

When I am hitting any chatter on or off road (think rough paved road or any dirt road) I get excessive headlight movement. My housings are tight as hell. No apparent play or slop there. Maybe it's the diodes/projectors themselves?

It's much worse on driver side, but both have more 'play' than they should.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions you can recommend?

    Thanks guys and gals

What kind of bulbs do you have in the headlights? Some bulbs will shake when hitting bumps (usually HID)

Those are factory lights? Maybe a plastic connector broke off. Take em out and inspect. Shake em around, lol (not too violently) Also, nice truck!

Could possibly be the bumper too. Check mounting points on that as well.

They are the factory HIDs. I've had HID chatter in sports cars before, but this is pretty extreme. I can be going 5-10 mph down a maintained dirt road and it looks like my headlights are going to fall off LOL.

There is no such thing as a factory HID in a tacoma. You have HID bulbs in a halogen housing. The issue is the HID bulbs, swap them for the correct bulb and the issue will go away.

Just went and inspected. There are Morimoto relays in there. I assumed it was stock! Still strange, I'm now curious if anyone with HID retrofits have the same issue!

When I had HIDs they would do that, its a pretty common issue with HID bulbs in these trucks.

Damn, I think I will go back to stock and install some Baja lights in my bumper instead.

It's a bummer though, the HIDs look so good when they aren't going through convulsions!

No need to swap bumpers, just put the correct headlight bulb in and everything will be fine.

For sure, I meant throw some squadrons on my metal bumper.

Now to track down a used set...

My Morimto's did the same, as does everyone's. Pick up some OEM LED lights and be done with that.

why not just buy diode dynamics? Better light IMO, especially for the $
