At 12 years you only have one quarter of my experience in marriage. Hang around a while and the truth will be made clear.

Threads like this should require a statement of years of experience. For the youngsters who can't do math I have 48 years of experience.

48 years in an institution designed to exploit you? That equates to being a fool and being a fool makes ones experience of little value in lending credibility to what they say and actually takes away from the credibility in this case as it indicates an inability to learn.

So, the predicament I have with your advice now resembles the following:

    1: Statement two is true.
    2: Statement one is false.

Anyway, clearly we will not agree and are killing the funny tone of this thread. So I will go change my Pampers and you can go change your Depends.

I gotta say that this is a very sad thread! I am pushing 40 years married to the right woman. What can I say; when it's right, it's right! But it does take commitment, loyalty, and work. The most important thing to me is my wife's self worth and she feels the same about me. When two people put their partner's best interests ahead of their own, that my friends is the secret to a long, successful, and happy marriage. Trust me, it works.

My motorcycle used to make a similar noise, but only when riding 2 up. Had a heck of a time trying to locate the problem.

One day we were riding, the noise was present again. I left a stop sign a little abruptly, the noise stopped. I tried to say something to the wife, but about that time I looked in the review mirror to see her sitting in the intersection. Went back to collect her. WOW. Was that a noisy ride home. The sound hasn't returned, but then again....she won't ride anymore. I guess the bike fixed itself.

Head math is easy, and it says the boomers had little to do with the invention as they were too young in 1960 to 1969 when the major milestones that could be considered the internets invention were made. But, it is typical of that generation to wrongly claim the accomplishments of their betters. :boink: (And I'm a millennial who cannot figure out how to insert emojis on TW from my phone....)

As for perfecting, that is still not complete because the boomers couldn't get the job done.... :duel:

    :crapstorm:
Edit: Had to go get on a computer to add emojis.

It seems to me there is more whining coming from the driver's seat of many 3rd Gen owners here.

    HIgh larry us.....

FWIW, if the "boomers" hadn't laid the foundation......none of the current "tech" would exist. Just for kicks, look up a little known fellow by the name of Barry Atanasoff. Then once you find that, learn where his invention was made. I'll give you a clue. Midwest in a corn state.

Really? Are you trying to give boomers credit for the Berry-Atanasoff computer, or am I misunderstanding? Boomers are those born between 1946 and 1964 (give or take a year depending on the source). John Atanasoff and Clifford Berry made their machine before the first boomer was ever conceived (1942). Note, it was two inventers, not one, making it the Berry-Atanasoff computer.

Anyway, proves my point very well. It is also an interesting bit of history I was not aware of, so thank you.

Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are boomers and are examples that show boomers have contributed much to technology. But, boomers certainly did not lay the foundations, those were largely placed by the greatest generation.
