Cracked retrax XR after only a year????

    Well woke up this morning to a cracked cover after only one year of use. You’d think at $1500 it would be a little bit better quality…cracked clean across in one spot and about 4 inches in another.     Well I just got off the phone with them. They were quick to answer which was nice. However I purchased the cover in December 2020 so they prorated the replacement cover. Sending a new canister and drains. With shipping which was almost $50 alone, came to $118.00 flat. Which isn’t terrible I guess but I’m also not thrilled to have a $118 bill already this morning.

    I wouldn't want that to happen, but if out of any warrantee, it sounds like the company took care of things.

    That's actually pretty cool that they are sending a replacement at that cost. I can't understand how it cracked though. Glad they didn't screw you over.....some companies would right now.

    Right, it was an unexpected expense but could have been worse. I’m just surprised that this even happened only after a year of ownership. That’s really my only complaint. Company did their best by me.

    Very true I was really glad they even had them available. I work in a semi repair shop and part availability is less than stellar right now. It’s crazy how much is on back order and or not being available for the foreseeable future. Even things like oil isn’t coming in what we used to have in the 1000s of gallons is limited to 200 at best with no timeframe for another delivery once we start to run out.

    Yeah, I get it. I'd be a bit perturbed also. It's the damn hassle having it happen and then jumping through hoops to get things right. Sounds like all is good!
