The truck isn't even close to loud with the Nitto's, but there is a bit more highway noise than I prefer with how often I end up being on the phone while driving the truck, so I deadened the back wall with some Second Skin Damplifier Pro this weekend. I've used a few different brands in the past and this definitely has the thickest foil and it is incredibly sticky. I only notice a small difference in road noise so far but I am able to run the radio at a lower volume with just this one panel done so it must be helping (usually 35+ and today was 25-30). I have enough leftover to do the rear doors with this kit too it looks like, but I am waiting for some replacement door clips to show up before I yank those panels off because those clips love to break. Should have them done before the week is done so I'll update in my next post how much both sections helped (then again when I do the front doors - need more deadening).

    With 1 sheet on:

    Done @ ~4.5 sheets:

    EDIT:
Finally got to drive at speed last night and I will say the difference at 60+ is much more noticeable than I was expecting. Even more excited to do the doors now.

I think he's talking about the long bolt on the uca.
We had to do some trimming and pounding to get it out.
Talked to my tuner Paul after and he gave me the secret.... buy new uca bolts and just cut the head off if the old one and pull/reinstall from the other side where there's plenty of room.

Mounted a Safariland fork system inside my center console so my handgun doesn't flop around in the console. It's tight but fits absolutely perfect.

Must be the screw wasn’t in as tight as others have experienced. Guess I was lucky.

Not pictured - signed up for a monthly car wash subscription at one of those conveyor belt car wash joints only because I want to blast the shit out of my undercarriage. If it manages to clean up the rest of the car so be it. Gonna try and make it a habit of doing it once a day every day in any given month lol...

For a $1/day I'd say it's a small investment in (trying to) ward off the corrosive effects of mag chloride on my Taco every winter and spring...

Agree with this. Just did Camburg UCA's on my 2021.

Spend the ~35 dollars and get two new UCA bolts from Toyota.

Undo the OEM bolt, and slide it out a few inches. Grab your sawzall and chop the head and a bit of the original bolt off. Remove the bolt towards the rear of the truck without needing to bend any sheet metal.

Reinstall the new UCA bolt from the rear, towards the front.

The hardest part after that is getting the 4 washers where they need to go.

This method makes me uncomfortable. If somehow that bolt works its way loose, the UCA bolt can just fall out when installed in this orientation. It's not that difficult to install these properly. Reinstalling those UCA bolts is really overhyped from the reviews I've read on here. Was nowhere nearly as bad as how most people make it sound. More difficult on the driver side but really not bad. If you can get that far into the suspension install yourself, reinstalling the UCA bolt's properly isn't much of a hassle. Not saying this is guaranteed to happen.. but IMO, do it the way factory did. They're that way for a reason.

Never updated y’all but I had a 2.5” lift and 33” MT Yohohama Geolanders installed after having the cab mount chop performed. Love the feel of the ride since.

Toyota factory service manual shows them being run in "backwards" for replacing UCAs on Tacoma. Make a witness mark, the UCA bolts are not going to wiggle out.

Ehhh.. still personally not about it. This has been debated a bunch. Do what makes you happy though. The added security of throwing them on correctly makes me sleep easier.

This might be a little too ghetto for some, but for those who don't have bed lights this was an easy $20 option. These lights have a motion sensor plus a power button so you can choose to leave them on/off as well. I used 50lb heavy duty mounting tape to adhere to the bed so all I would need is some adhesive remover to return back to stock if I decided I didn't like them.
