I wish. I’m actually on the waitlist for a GMT right now (like the rest of the world). But my fiancé won’t stop making fun of me for sending my AD pizza once a month to try and bump myself up that wait list a little.

the ones I was really looking to let go of aren’t quite as high dollar as those, name a vintage Rolex air king and a Speedy reduced.

 

Which AD? The only ones around here are chain jewelers, that i am aware of…I’d rather buy from a locally owned AD like Bubbles works at.

 

Im down in Columbia, I'm on the wait at Sylvans. I bought a Grand Seiko from Windsor Jewelers in Charlotte a while back if that’s where you’re located. They seemed like good people and are a Rolex AD too.

my dad has a Seiko Pogue (6139) he bought new in 77 he is going to let me have. It still works, just needs a service and maybe new glass. Nothing expensive, but cool nonetheless.

 

love that. I actually got an old Seiko LordMatic a while back and find myself wearing it all the time. Something about a vintage Seiko just does it for me.

 

@Bubbles What's a new Air King running these days?

 

i know you’re not asking me, but I’m pretty sure new they run about 7k. The one I’m trying to let go of is a little more vintage.

 

This is the one I want. I'm not going to buy one, was just curious. Most Rolexs look alike to me but the Air King seems different. I've got a ton of credit but don't have $7k sitting in the bank. Besides I'm way too cheap!

Honestly if I'm going to spend what I consider a lot of money for a watch, I would get a Seiko SRPF41. They're running about $600 on the used market.

 

I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t had my eye on that too. That green dial is immaculate. All of my watch purchases have been put on hold during wedding planning though
