Hi All, I will be getting a tacoma soon are starting to do my research on everything. I'm sure this has been discussed many times and could not find with a quick search. Anyways...

As the title says, with a 2" lift, what is the biggest size tire on a 17" wheel, that won't rub or require cutting bumper? Truck will be a daily driver.

Bumper isn't the problem, it's the fender liner and cab mount is where the tire rubs. With 2" lift you'll have rubbing with anything over ~32"

I have 285/70/17s and after a slight plastic trim, no issues. Offset is the key to success.

Do more than a quick search then. Welcome. Head over to Suspension and Lifts and browse those threads. I suggest using the following search terms in your next search:
    • "max tire size with lift"
    • "lift options"
    • "frame mod"
Search harder and ask yourself before creating a new thread, "Is what I am asking really unique?" Obviously you are not the first person to consider lifting your Tacoma that is beginning the research process. With a little time and harder digging you will find what you need.

I have the fox adjustable coilovers. I have them set at 2" over stock. If they were true adjustable coilovers, I could fine tune them, but since they have to be removed and compressed to adjust, they are just set at 2".

Keep in mind there is a lot more to consider than just how big of a tire you can physically fit. Tire load rating, tire weight, wheel offset, etc.

Bigger, heavier tires hurt performance/acceleration and MPG.
