I pray I don’t get these errors when I put mine on in a couple weeks. Got it from jumbo parts for trucks on Amazon.ca. If I do I’ll never hear the end of it.

Yeah, its pissing me off, I thought it was a reboot to take care of it and it looked good for a couple weeks of driving. No lights, then yesterday it popped on again. Taking it into the dealer for the 20k free oil change, thinking of telling them about it but since I changed out the grille with an after market they may tell me to piss off, or charge me a leg.

I hear ya. I’ve never had good luck with a dealership. And where I’m from they do charge a crazy amount of money and do as little as possible

The pro grille has 3 screws to secure the sensor too . There are 2 factory slide-on metal clips that the other 2 screws thread into on the OEM grill. These clips need to be removed from the old grill and put on the new grill, then you reuse the same screws.

Oh Im sure it will work its way out sooner or later. My brother has a transmission shop, if all else fails I'll take it down there and whine on his shoulder.

Well hell, thanks Brian2sun, this is the first I heard of that. I will pull down the old grille and get on it. That guy on the you tube may want to look at his old grille, he is putting out some shit info. Thanks Brother.

It sounds like I may have pull the grille off again to install the slide on clips?

Go to about the 7:15 mark in this video and you’ll see him remove the clips you need to put on the new grill...

Yeah, I took the nuts off the old grille and have them ready. I have to install some Rapter lights in the next ay or two when they get here so I will pull the grille and do both. Thanks bro for the help and the video. Cheers

No prob. I put one washer about the thickness of a dime under the sensor (top screw) to angle it upward just a bit (I read that seemed to work the best for most people), and I haven’t had any issues with my TSS. I’ve been driving around in heavy rain and snow the last 2 days, and using my cruise control here and there with no alerts or anything.

Amazing how things turn out when you use the correct parts to do the job. The two nuts are on and that sensor is not going anywhere. I took your advice and added a thin washer to the top screw, see how that goes. The rapter lights are on and shining bright. Picture to follow.

Has anyone tried to relocate the tss sensor to accommodate an aftermarket bumper with a grill guard?

Just install this grille today. Awesome little mod that changes the trucks look. I'm very happy with the outcome.

I was able to reuse the one I clipped off by threading a new zip tie through the slot. Looks like it should work and keeps the wire hidden.

Have you had any error messages with the sensor once you added that thin washer to the top screw? I just got my Tacoma and went to buy the grille and they said I had to purchase the sensor and get it recalibrated.

Yes. If mine is flush, it's throws codes. 2 washers and it's good to go.
