Hi, new to the group and have a black 2022 TRD Sport 4x4. I’m looking to get rid of the street tires and go with better tires, keeping stock wheels for now.

    *Mostly sand terrain. Oahu, HI

Do you guys have any recommendations on tires and sizes without throwing the speedo off?

    Any advice/pics are greatly appreciated!

I think after 285 it goes little bit off. Tires depends on how you're planning to use your truck.

Welcome aboard, Josh! Those are 17" wheels and if I'm not mistaken the biggest size you can slap on without rubbing is the 265/70/17 which are available in lots of different brands/treads. Congrats on the new truck!

BTW, I have a '19 sport but swapped to 16" wheels with 265/75/16 tires and my speedo is pretty much dead on. There are a lot of different tire/rim sizes put on Tacoma's of different trim levels and to my knowledge no different calibrations for the speedo - unless you're going up to 33s it shouldn't be an issue

Without rub, a 267/70/R17 or 265/75R16 is the largest. If the main concern is sand, your friend is momentum speed and flotation. Air down and be able to air back up. If needed get traction boards.
