Suggestions on the most comfortable work boots?

I have a pair of Red Wings on now, they are okay but not what they used to be. Same goes for Wolverines, not what they used to be.

I wear them 13+ hours a day 6 days a week and I need something comfy, I don't mind paying up for good ones.

    Have you tried Danner boots?

I have been a redwing fan for 30 yrs but their shoes are junk anymore.

I have not, for the last 25+ years I've either had Wolverines or Red Wings.

I have red wings and you're right, they aren't what they used to be. Guys I work with love their Thorogoods, same wedge style. They are not cheap but I'll probably try them next go round.

There's a Boot Barn not too far from the house, may ride out there Saturday and see what they have. I'm not a fan of ordering shoes on the web. They have Danner, Thorogood, and several other brands.

When I was swinging a hammer, I wore Chippewas- durable and comfortable at the time.
Got a pair of insulated ones now for winter but they don’t have the finger loop to pull them on. Still comfortable but a PIA to get on without bunching up my socks :annoyed:
    YMMV.

I've seen some Timberland work boots online, I got to have leather cause of the weld splatter. If I see some in a store I'll try them on as well.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
At the time they were the only full leather gortex 4E wide boots i could fine.

I always use the Doctor Scholl`s inserts I also wear them long hours

I have had Good Luck with my Cabela`s outfitter boots I have very wide feet 4E I buy many pairs and cycle them 2 for work theses got dried in the boot dryer the days they were worn and a pair for Dress i tried the first pair in the mad house that was the store.

It seems they like the Walmart style of check out 1 clerk and 50 people in line

Since they have been discontinued I have not bought anything from Cabela`s

i have had Rocky, Danners Red Wings the Cabela`s just worked the best i think I still have 2 or 3 brand new pair

i have had a Few pair rebuilt..

Good Luck finding Good Boots can be a royal pain.

As a heavy guy with foot pain, my podiatrist suggested "powerstep" hard plastic inserts. He said gel inserts are a waste of money. I wear them in all my shoes now.

Don't buy the Red Wing Irish Setter line. Look at the Red Wing Heritage line. 100% made in America with US leather and great quality. I switched to them from the Irish Setters when I started going through 2 pair of $200 boots a year. Been going on 2 years with the same pair of Heritage.

Little bit of this and that
I've had good luck with Keen, last pair I had held up to 3 years of abuse walking on concrete.
