Has anyone put a hard shell rooftop tent like the CVT Mt. St. Helens or RoofNest Sparrow on their 5’ topper with the extended head space? I love my topper and would hate to get rid of it to fit this type of tent but I have not seen any trucks out there with this set up. I’d appreciate any pictures if you have this set up. Thanks!

Is that a HD shell? I havent but been thinking about it also. I have the same shell but with regular sliding windows.

I don’t think it’s an HD. It’s the ARE MX model. I’ve talked to CVT and RoofNest and most of the people on the other line say it’s fine but will look a little funny. One person from CVT said it wouldn’t work but the rest said it would.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
I’ve run ARE Mx shells on multiple trucks. Check with ARE. I think it’s rated rooftop capacity is 200 lbs. I’ve had more up there with no problems. A better place would be on the truck roof. And IMO would look much better. If put on the topper you’ll want to look into bed stiffeners.
