A C whistle

    Has any body had this issue A C whistles at low speed when accelerating will not whistle when I turn it off is this going to be a bigger issue in the future just under 33000 miles

    Might want to search here for noisy AC or something similar. Known issue with some videos to see if it matches your symptoms.

    See if there is a difference with the recirculatory button on or off. My truck makes different noises depending upon the state of that button. My noises come from the rear vents on the wall just in front of the bed. My truck is an Access Cab.

    There’s a thread on here that explains what’s going on. Pretty common and no known problems besides the noise. Sounds like someone got Toyota to acknowledge it and they have a fix for it but it involves taking you whole dash off….

    My 3rd gen and my 2nd gen both do it. I consider it normal. Let me clarify, when my 2006 was new, I noticed the sound and took it to the dealer and they found no issue with it. I let it go and the A/C has never had an issue in 16 years. So when my 2017 did it, I figured it is normal.
