Went to start the truck (to catch a flight of coarse), and was using the remote start since it was cold, and I live like 10 min from the airport.

I opened the door and it stayed ON. At first I was like Amazing! Then to my horror I realized something was amiss.

The truck then refused to turn the starter, which I can only assume is a security feature, but no matter what I did it would not let me reset it.

I ended up removing the positive terminal connection for about 30 sec. Then all was forgiven.

Any thoughts on how to recover this without removing the battery? Anyone else experience this?

    Hi,
There are actually several threads on this very same issue, which I have experienced myself. I find if I lock and unlock the doors with the remote and then start it again it works. I’m not sure that we’ve found an actual cars other than the remote starter seems to get jammed or confused sometimes
