    Hey everyone,

So I’ve been chasing down vibrations after my lift and have tried everything except the ECGS bushing install. I had an alignment before I realized my shims were installed backwards (dumb mistake I know) and the alignment looks a bit off and wanted to make sure I get the right specs before getting another one.

I have the Eibach pro truck lift stage 1 (roughly 2” of lift) and the wheelers offroad 1.5” add a leaf.

    Last Known Specs:
    Front Left:
    0.7 camber
    1.8 caster
    0.06 toe

    Front Right:
    0.5 camber
    1.9 caster
    0.05 toe

    Right Rear:
    -0.02 camber
    0.20 toe

    Left Rear:
    1.7 camber
    0.13 toe

    total toe: 0.32
    Thrust angle: 0.04

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome. Thanks!

To start your rear numbers dont matter because it is a straight axle and not adjustable given that the axle isnt bent and your leaf spring centering pins are holding the axle in place. Front numbers look decent and shouldnt cause a vibe. Have you tried switching into 4hi when driving and seeing if the vibration goes away? If it does then you know its the needle bearing

How is <2° caster "descent" for a 2" lift?

Camber closer to 0 and 3°+ caster would be ideal. Toe just a hair in for bush deflection, as is typical for trucks. Without UCAs, you may be limited on caster/camber compromise.

Def check if vibe goes away in 4hi like mentioned above. That's the easy test for front diff needle bearing issues.

That is not a giant lift,

    4 high first.

Then, Have you gone through and check the torque on everything? Made sure your wheel lugs are all on properly? Wheels re-balanced to rule it out and they have plenty of tread left?

Then I would move on to:

    Shims, Carrier Spacer,

I know there is a way to measure the driveline angles but I have not done that before.

I have tried 4HI and it goes away, I wasn’t looking forward to doing the ECGS bushing install but looks like I’m going to have to. I’ve also quadruple checked the torque on everything and seems good to go.

Should I take it in for another alignment since I flipped the shims around?

    Thanks everyone!

I wouldn't. Just get the ecgs done and see if it's better. It cost me $350 with labor at '4 Wheel Parts'. Fixed everything. There's a real good video on Youtube if you're going to do yourself... I tried the carrier bearing shims too but it was better without them...

I agree. There is a couple of good vids out there on it. I would do the bearing and the rubber seal while you are in there.

This is the video that made me order up the bushing and then build a puller. I will be installing the Eibach Pro-Truck 2.0 kit in the next couple of weeks. Originally I wasn't gonna do the bearing/bushing upgrade, but after watching this, I decided since I will be in there anyways, might as well.

That video spends a lot time correcting the tool. I think the tool has been updated since then. I have 1-2 videos that i can post tomorrow that are a good help too.

The two vids shows some other tool options for removing it all. In case one way is not working, its not a bad idea to have a few different tools on hand in case it becomes a struggle lol.

I more meant that the caster measurement will not be the cause of his vibration. I agree that you want about 3° caster. Unless there is something pretty off with your alignment the alignment usually isn’t the cause of your vibration. Glad he figured it out though.

Awesome, I’m going more towards having a shop do it since I’m not super mechanically skilled (surprised I managed to install the lift). I didn’t know 4 Wheel Parts did the ECGS install which is nice, there’s one about 2 hours from me. If I can’t find a shop in Northwest Arkansas I will probably just head over there. Thanks for the help!

The left rear camber is an error, 1.7 camber would be balls out lol.

The front alignment is fine, especially for a lifted truck with stock arms, it's not causing a vibration.

Thanks for the insight, I’m going to do the ECGS bushing install and then if it seems to be off I’ll just get another alignment.

Who would’ve thought a 2” lift would lead to all these things…
