I'm having a low rpm idle problem on occassion.
It's been happening for a couple of months.
Happening a few times each day. My daily work takes me
    over 100mi daily, mostly highway.
Sometimes at startup it will sputter and responds to giving it gas. Sometimes at a stop sign or traffic lite it does the same drop.
02 V6 Dbl Cab Prerunner. 119K miles. Timing belt replaced
at 90 or so. New plugs done recently, originals looked very solid
considering they had 115K on them. Wires are good. I run with
a FIPK intake. The only other engine mod is the TRD exhaust which
    is fine.

It basically will drop rpms to the mid 500's and just seems like it's not
getting gas. I give it gas and or when I'm moving again and no problem.

    Your thoughts.

    ? fuel filter
    ? throttle body dirty
    ?

clean the throttle body and maf sensor real good.......maf may have some excess oil on it from the intake. also......seafoam the motor........suck it in from the brake booster line....these things should help get idle back as it should be. if not..........spark plug wire could be bad...may look good, but it may not ohm out correctly, and there is a possibility of having a cracked spark plug......i have seen that before too. good luck with the fix man!! hope its relatively easy!!

    She's gone but not forgotten.
I had that problem with my 02 Ranger. I tried everything, plugs wires new coil IAC valve seafoam drygas you name it.

turns out the electrical connector to the transmission (auto) was corroded and the signal to disengage the torque converter "clutch" at idle wasn't getting to it. that was a mo-fo to find.

Any recommended cleaning product. Thought I might try that first.

for the throttle body.......seafoam deep creep spray.....great stuff man. and for the maf sensor......crc has a maf sensor cleaner, or you can use some crc electronics cleaner on it, and let it dry before putting back in the intake line. then, a can of seafoam for running thru the brake booster line. these have worked really well for me.

I cleaned my Mass Air Flow sensor and the throttle body and it's running fine. Recently did the BG44K treatment as well. Went to full sythetic oil after 119k miles along with new plugs about 3 weeks ago. Truck running much better.
