Depends which episode. Trust Doesn’t Rust in Season 1 was a red scanner. K.I.T.T. vs K.A.R.R. in Season 3 was an amber scanner.

12 year old me LOVED that show. 50+ year old me is convinced that the Hoff is the greatest actor that ever lived since delivering those lines with a straight face without cringing, laughing, or blushing is a special talent.

 

I’ve been re-watching it on Netflix for laughs. I have the complete series on DVD. It doesn’t hold up all that well, but it’s still decently entertaining at points. As far as Hoff is concerned, I’m sure the fame, money and women didn’t hurt when it came time to deliver his lines.
