Love the bed mat! When I loaded the boxes the wheels came in, there was no sliding!! So weird to not hear the thumps when I turn or stop.

And a small update of some things I will add:

    8. All Black “TRD 4x4 Sport” decals for each side of the truck
    9. Steering wheel logo black emblem overlay

I also added red vinyl letters on the Pro Grill today.

ah yes, i did the black steering wheel emblem overlay as well, and the AC vent black out rings too.... im almost finished taking everything off the SR5 so I can re-install everything on the Sport when it arrives. Just have the grille and the mud flaps to remove now... did your new sport come with led tail/brake lights? im not sure but i think theyre all halogen, correct? the LEDs made such a huge difference. My wife said when she was behind me in the red sr5 she could barely see the brakes when they came on (it was a very sunny day). but after i installed the LED bulbs they were much more noticeable

My Sport did NOT come with the LED lights. That’s my one wish that at this point I’m not willing to fulfill. The price for the OEM headlights is ridiculously high compared to the price when they are installed at the factory. But who knows? I might change my mind a few months down the road.

My larger problem is that I am afraid to do the installation myself. I’ve seen the videos and it’s taking a lot of parts off and I just don’t want to F up my brand new truck. And I just couldn’t afford paying for someone else to install.

How would you say the ride is with the TRD lift? I felt like it was smooth with the factory suspension, but today with the TRD lift it was way stiffer, bouncier, and constant vibrations. Have you had any vibes?

I don't know if it's because I'm driving safer because it's a brand new vehicle, but it feels smoother than my '16 OR. I honestly think it must be the sport suspension. I even gave my girlfriend a ride, and she said the ride felt smoother. I even went over some speed bumps and it didn't feel as jarring as in the OR. Yes a little bit of bounce, but not in a negative way. And it hasn't felt stiff. Overall, I feel like my ride has been enhanced by the TRD Lift

Now keep in mind though, mine is a 22 Sport so the suspension was already different than your 22 OR.

Thanks for that info. I went from a 2020 TRD OR to a Wrangler. The OR always felt decently smooth. My new OR felt like a luxury car in comparison to the Wrangler, but after the lift it feels too firm. It is actually worse than the Wrangler which doesn't make any sense. I can feel every imperfection in the road now.

Hopefully my dealer will find something they messed up or I am just going crazy

They didn’t pump your tires to a high psi? Did you switch out the tires with the lift?

The PSI was actually low at 29. Didn't switch the tires. Came from the port with Duratracs so I didn't switch them.

    Of course!!

    You planning on getting them?

I think the cheapest I found them was at Toyota Salinas. Also no additional sales tax there. Make sure you enter FREESHIP in the coupon code field.

I have 2021 TRD Sport in Barcelona Red. What you did with yours is what I have been contemplating doing with mine. The TRD lift and new wheels. Your truck looks awesome.

Thanks Murph! Just those three things (don’t forget the 265/75/16 KO2s) changed the whole look of the exterior! It’s like a different vehicle!

If you got the dough definitely do it. If you are skipping out on the TRD Lift for now, make sure you get 265/70/16 tires (I think). They shouldn’t rub. The others will without the lift.

I do suggest blacking out the exterior. It gives it a nice two-tone look.

    upload_2022-2-10_18-23-4.jpg

To finish blacking out my exterior, I ordered black “TRD 4x4 Sport” decals. I’ve already researched how to remove the originals. I’ll post when that is done!
