Hoping to do it in one more month. Redoing all the trim wasnt planned, but it became obvious that whoever did it last didnt have a brain. Gonna do it one or two rooms at a time.

Its also cheaper than the fancier routed trim, and easier to install since it can all be done with either mitres or butt joints.

 

We've got 3 MIG welders fortunately, and only 2 of us.

Two are on 75/25 and the other is Argon only (aluminim).

We've got extra bottles, or I can jump on his machine now but since we're so caught up and ahead on work, we're just making 'extra parts' that are often used.

For instance, those long and short tubes that I weld nuts at the ends? Or those pieces of flat bar I bend and weld 3 short pieces of round tubing? They're for these -







Was helping assemble a few with the guys.

They're pretty comfortable actually. Apparently our bar stool seats are highly sought-after.

 

I use magazines to find colors and let the paint Dept match it.

Pollock inspired Electrolux vacuums spatter paint attachment. You can shoot one color atop another. Size and volume of drips, gobs, dots etc can be varied with a hand oner the suck hole.
I've sprayed dozens of naked Hippies at love ins.
Looks good on furniture too.

Repetitive stuff is how you get really good. But eventually you'll get tired of it and move to a job shop where the projects are way more fun and interesting. And likely higher pay.

Im building a glue applicator for a cardboard channel pad machine this week. Been a neat project.
