Nitro Gears lead times

So I thought I would ask what you’re encountering with your Nitro Gear orders, in my case 5.29’s.

I ordered though my local off-road shop here in Vegas and they have a good reputation.

The lead time back in mid-May when I plunked my money down was 4-8 weeks.

I am in logistics and I deal with ocean freight so I more than most know how screwed up the ports and freight are and therefore I have let things roll and been patient.

Last week I’m told the gears are in <BUT> there’s a part missing (bearing for the pinion). Since then, supposedly, no update from Nitro.

I’m curious if any of you are experiencing the same thing as I’m not sure who is yanking my chain at the moment. Are they just telling folks 4-8 weeks to capture the orders?

Supposedly it's all made in the USA maybe there is some Kyoto bearing sitting on a ship in the Pacific

 

Well if it’s made here, they’ve been telling me the containers are stuck off shore.

 

How long did it take them? Sitrep please.

 

Showed up last week (bearing). Ordered in May.

So if I recall correctly, everything was in back in November except for that bearing which was not available anywhere on the planet. Ironically it showed up on the same day as the Magnuson which I ordered on 8/3.

 

I really hope mine doesn't take that long. But whatever... I'm along for the ride at this point, lol.

 

Nitro home office is Pacific NW. Materials and production of product from Korea. Usually out of stock. Now worse with a plethora of excuses from Nitro and everyone else involved. GL. Stay patient. Worth the wait.
