What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Those were 2 of my first mods too by the way !

 

One quick question to make sure, how do I check if I do have the camera mount? as I am not entirely sure.

 

I bought this exact same grill, and the camera mount that came with the truck did not work. I had to buy the bracket that Taco Vinyl sells, so I could mount mine.

 

I was starting to prep to put my footwell lights in and happened on a Black/Army Green Tacoma coin bucket applique - never even knew it had come with the stack of them I got with the box. So, I popped the lid and used some of the Army Green vinyl wrap on the lid and stuck on the applique. It's the little things in life that make owning this truck so awesome.

 

Bought it from a guy who switched to an alu cab. It’s a SE (came with crossbin 13”) previous owner installed 4 extra cleats. The other cleats came installed from diamondback. Loving the cover so far. Makes the truck look tougher and the security gives me peace of mind. I’m glad I got the regular pattern vs smooth.

 

I have a dash mounted camera, so its not needed then. i am going to just get the grille with letters and the Sensor

 

Oh I know all too well about the diamond back cover i too have one, just came in the other day, going to install it next week when i can get into my friends heated garage.

 

Not necessarily what I did to my SR today, but this is my first time back on the forum in about a year, so figured I’d share.

I just redrilled my winch and it gave me plenty of room, didn’t have to touch the guides with a hammer

 

I love my hd. Best investment I’ve made on my truck hands down. Mine is smooth but I like both choices

 

Put some stickers on it and filled up the wiper fluid reservoir. I think I am going to plasti dip the grill bezel tomorrow.

 

have been waffling about whether I want to PlastiDip the same part. I have the same truck in black...

 

I was going back and forth about but I watched a video today and it is so easy to take off I think I am going to do it. Matte black.

 

Do it! It’ll look so much better.

Installed my GMRS today. Wouxan KG1000G with face plate on ram mount and main unit in glove box. A couple of wires to tidy up and done. Antenna is the Midland Ghost 3db mounted to hood.

Received permission to use a repeater out of the Louisville area which is 51 road miles and 33.5 line of sight from my house. Can talk to wife on her HT from her school 19.5 miles line of sight using repeater.

Yeah, do it. You'll be amazed how easy it is and the result will be great. Apply several coats to build it up, just don't lay a single coat too thick. The thicker the fished product, the better. It's more resilient and it will peel off real easy should you decide to.

 

How durable is the Husky Matt’s look like they would easily bend since there plastic. Have you compared them to other things if so what ?

 

I have the same Leatherman, love that thing! Just wish us AT guys had the double cup holders!
