I've been using Walmart brand full synthetic oil and filters for years in all my vehicles, with oil changes around 5K. 1990 Hyundai Accent went 199K then crushed because of emissions issue in Kalifornia, such a joke. Cost more to fix then car was worth.... 1999 4cyl Camry, 309K, then crushed ( see Hyundai above) both these cars ran fine... 2003 Lexus GX470, 170K, sold no issues. Currently 1998 2.4 Tacoma, with 175K no issues and 2010 Lexus is350C with 99K with no issues. Love me some Toyotas!

When I do the first owner oil change on my 2018, 2.7, probably going go with Supertech from Walmart. Truck has about 19k on it and I just drive it as everyday driver. If you have a high mileage engine, try ZMAX in it to clean out the sludge and deposits of crud in the motor.

there Should NOT be Any SLUDGE / Deposits in an 19k engine

zmax might help with plugs temporarily

sludge in sump or upper heads can rarely be removed with a flush

    Stock, 4WD, Access Cab, White,
Short answer. You can use either syn or dino oil. Any brand.

Just open the Owner's Manual (OM) to determine which viscosity is recommended and the API grade (American Petroleum Institute).

Follow the change interval in the OM.

Use a good oil filter. Some of the best filters are Toyota, WIX, NAPA, ACDelco and Bosch.

You need to read the post buddy! Do you know what ZMAX is? I think not!

Walmart Hypertech synthetic is more than good enough for me. Just change the oil as recommended by the owners manual

Wondering how it's going to hold up with an oversized filter, never heard of this for a Taco DD but common on domestic build ups.
Slightly baffled at sending oil to be analyzed but, some folks like to know the miniscule details?

ZMax possible after 100,000 mi with "I have time" oil changes in between, finally going to pull the OEM plugs to see how they have been holding up first before adding. I do run the ZMax fuel about once a year, usually after winter when the stations lower the octane since it helps burn off any moisture build up.
