Anyone swap front seats to add extra space for back seat? Thinking of sparco or ricaro. They look slimmer and figure they would add a couple inches for rear seat. If you have let me know what yuh did and if you gained room. Pics also if you have them

What ever did people do before airbags were in seats, lol. Not all vehicles come with seat airbags its really not a big deal to me. Still has curtain and front.

My point is lights on the dash, wiring and ECU and safety communication. With today's electronics, even unplugging something can cause a malfunction somewhere else.
As far as liability, I was meaning for your passengers. Seats for racing and offroad are good for racing and offroad right?
And, I started driving in 1978, long before airbags. Many people I knew died in car accidents that wouldn't cause a scratch today.
    But... you do you!

A pair of Kirkey Pro Street Aluminum seats would sure be nice and comfortable for driver and front passenger. It will give the kids in the rear seats plenty of legroom.

They are universal pretty. You can take apart the Tacoma seats and just use the rails and fab some brackets to the seats.

Not sure where you live but in the summer the Kirkeys sure do get hot as hell and you might melt your skin. So get them with covers.

If Kirkey is too extreme….try looking into Sparco or Corbeau seats.

Corbeau Moab Reclining seats , lots of Jeep guys use those and are thin backside.

Also these Sparcos are also somewhat more comfortable since it is a larger wider seat but thin backside and reclinable.

Ohh those are strictly race seats. I'm looking for the one that still can adjust.

The Recaro Sportster is probably the lowest profile, but I'm not sure it will really gain you much. I'll try to measure and compare to the stock seats. Also, the back is hard plastic, so if knees do ride against them, well, less than cushy.

On the + side, they can be had with airbags.
