    Hi All,

Trying to get pricing on the TRD Lift. I talked to three dealers in the Madison, WI area. My results are shockingly varying...

    1. One dealer qoutes 15 hours + lift for $3600
    2. One dealer quotes $2200, but says the TOYOTA grill would not work without significant engineering changes to the truck
    3. One dealer says $1450 for the lift and 2 hours labor total = $1770

Some will say skip the TRD lift, but factory warranty and perhaps less hassle in the future. Just surprised on how different each dealer is.

without a parts breakdown that each dealer is installing, its pert near impossible to figure out why their quotes are so different

I am not concerned on the cost, really, but 1500 difference between low and high? Plus the 2nd one is was like the grill doesn't work. Umm then why does Toyota sell it with the lift that works on my truck? He basically said he has more experience than me with Toyota parts.. OK dude.

TRD Lift kit on the parts site.

East Madison Toyota has a good service dept in my experience.

I’d stay away from the places that say the TSS won’t function properly. They obviously have little experience with install.

If the TRD lift is the route you choose due to warranty go with the dealer that has the most experience with installs. The ones giving you the run around are doing it because they don’t have the expertise.

15 hours? Are they manufacturing your suspension components from scratch in-house or something?

For an experienced tech it shouldn't take but 2-3 hours to install.
Make sure you get all the parts they remove from your truck. You own them don't let them keep anything especially your fog lights and bezels as I'm sure you'll want to reinstall them. If you ever want to go back to stock you'll need these parts.

Good info here on the oem TRD lift

Thanks, i am going to confirm with East to leave the fogs, but I did ask one of the other dealers and they said they are not removed, but with so much haziness between the three I called.. I will confirm

Thank you everyone, this was really helpful.
