Driver (on phone) : Yeah... We got a (fluorescent) light out down here -- dunno whats wrong...
I go down to department - bulbs missing

Driver: Can you put bulbs in it -- dunno what happened to em'
Me: No, the eight foot fixture is 6-1/2 feet long bent in a V
Driver: Dunno what happened...

Me: You are sitting on a forklift, the light is 14 feet in the air, the floor is freshly swept
Driver: Dunno...
.... Must control urge to this

 

Only with lots of real tight turns!!

 

Fun fact: Dunkin cups are nearly the same taper as a Q1 2inch taper lock.

I talked to 2 different friends yesterday around here who farm, they both said fertilizer (17-17-17) has gone up to $1,000 a ton


I remember when dad was raising corn and hay years ago it was around $150-$200 a ton.

 

Almost forgot- have some more mill carnage. Snapped a 2inch shaft off at the drive end.

Sounds very familiar…

My employer places zero responsibility or liability on the employee. Therefore, many of my coworkers do not give a rat's a$$ about company vehicles or equipment. Right up until they are inconvenienced or have to perform manual labor in place of using equipment.

Many of our Construction Supervisors care a bit more than the average employee, with primary focus on completing the job in front of them. Rarely do we get a "Boss" who is able to see the bigger picture and who will promote sound business practices and hold employees accountable.

Civil Service is deeply flawed in this regard…
