I posted a pic the other day of when I finally got a good clean on it, but today I got some quick wax applied and really got under the frame (especially near the tank) to get all that winter crap off. The roads are still pretty dirty, and it will for sure snow again, but I cleaned everything today, again. Was much easier the second time, I just wish we had a better car wash where I live.

And then I drove home. Dirty again.

Before this I drove to ID and stayed behind a stock taco brethren the whole time. His did better on the hills than mine but I coasted down the hills easier. I also saw a good looking white taco that had a backlit hidden light bar in the bumper. My Rough Country 30" was a gift, otherwise I would have gone DD and I do still want one, but no sense in paying that price when I can easily make what I have work. I also like the backlit fogs and the SSC2's as ditch lights, but I got what I got.

I had plans of adjusting the ride height today, because it's about a quarter inch too tall in the front, but I need to get the spanner wrench first. I guess I could just have them do it when my gears/ecgs bushing go in, but I still want the tool and I can do it, so why not. Hopefully next week.

Seems like most of us are enjoying decent weather and sharing our clean trucks

Vleds footwell lighting kit for front and rear 6k matching the vleds interior 6k.

Ambient setting set on lowest matches the ktjo 4x4 bowl lights pretty well.

I have the aqua bars as well. Having a 2-color option would have been neat with white for entry and accent color for mood, but for now this meets my needs. It also lets me replicate this photo from a lifetime ago!

Yep, those panels and any interior hard plastics. For the leather/interior cleaners I use the brush to agitate or sometimes just spray onto the panel or microfiber and wipe off. Basically they remove all the sweat, grime, and old leather conditioner or interior detail spray.

Honestly, I haven't used much chemical guys stuff. Some really like it. I think they've got too many products that do similar results and there's other products that are cheaper and work just as well or better. Some of the Adam's Polishes stuff is bit like chemical guys in that respect. I really like Adam's soaps, interior & exterior detail sprays, and their spray wax. I buy my stuff in bulk and by the gallon.

Any leather/interior cleaner will work. I've slowly been switching over to P&S detail products from Adam's, because it's significantly cheaper. A gallon of P&S interior cleaner is $20. I'm guessing chemical guys is around $12-$16 for a 16oz bottle? I still like Adam's Polishes though. P&S is well known by professional detailers and those who detail for a living.

I'm always trying new detail products and it's become a bit of a hobby/obsession over the last few years. I'm always looking for the "best stuff." I prefer professional detail products as opposed to a lot of the stuff sold at say Walmart, but you can find a few detailing gems there too. That's why I highly recommend the Jay Leno's leather conditioner. ($10 at Walmart)

Kind of the same thing with interior detail sprays. I like products that work well. Adam's isn't exactly cheap, but I've been using it for about 5 years and really like it. Most important, it's got UV protection and gives a nice matte non greasy factory sheen. I hate greasy detail products. (FYI, Adam's sold his company a few years ago and quality dropped on some stuff.) Another reason why I've switched to P&S for some things.

P&S is legit and been in the business since the 50’s..
Another super cost effective cleaning solution is simply a little bit of dish soap (Palmolive,dawn) in warm water in a spray bottle. I spray and wipe down everything and follow up with a natural shine rubber/vinyl protectant that has scotchguard, been doing it for 25 years.. my interiors look new and have no sign of cracking or peeling; dish soap also, is good at stripping wax if you want to start from a clean slate, it’s a degreaser. A few coats of scotchguard on everything but clear plastic and windows goes a long way as well.

I don't think I'd be brave enough for that one, not as a first vehicle anyway. Cheaper two-door coupe with a stick shift always seems to me to be the best move. Cheap to buy, cheap to fuel, cheap the insure and cheap to destroy (because they will). After they've wrapped that around a tree once or twice and figured out how to not be stupid, that's when they get to drive a vehicle worth more than a random person's average annual salary.

there were some holes in the fender from the factory that just so happened to be the same size as the bolts I took off the factory splash guards I took off when I installed the TRD Pro skid plate. That made finding the right size bolt and washer easy.

i took the box apart and drilled a hole through it, bolted it to the fender with some blue locktite and put everything back together, then routed the cord out through the front bumper.

Now when I plug in at work my truck should be a lot happier when I start it up at -35.
