    Hey everyone,

I’m trying to put together a camping trip the weekend of Feb 18th to the 19th or possibly the 20th depending on weather. I’m looking at either Moab or west of Grand Junction in the Mack area. I’d like to do a hike and some light off roading too possibly. I have a few buddies that are interested but they’re being lame and not committing at the moment.

Just wanted to throw the idea out there in case any fellow taco enthusiasts/mediocre campers wanted to join!

Rabbit valley has decent camping, no wind protection though. 18 Rd in fruita is also goo and actually has a bit of coverage if you go down to the free/open area.

I'd also recommend 18 rd/North Fruita desert area. Once you get back into the bookcliffs there are some pretty awesome and wind-protected spots.

I'll be honest though, I just moved to Denver from Junction and don't have much interest in getting back that way for a while. There's plenty of fun stuff that way and yall will have a blast.

Thanks for the tips! I’m deciding on Moab though. I figured if I’m heading out west I might as well go all the way and head to Moab! I’ve never been there so I’m super stoked to check it out.

Yeah Moab makes more sense for sure if you're already going that far; it's only like 90 minutes more.
