Forward camera failed ... temporarily

2019 4WD TRD offroad with 50k miles.

Driving down the road when a message announced forward camera had failed and PCS light on dash went amber. I turned off and back on PCS and message disappeared. Since then it seems fine. I wasn't going west into the sun.

Is this a one-off to not be concerned about?

 

Truck is probably totaled, start shopping for a new one.



Seriously though...something happened one time, went away immediately and didn't come back. No one on the internet has the magic eight ball that can predict whether it was a one off occurrence or will result in catastrophic failure, serious injury or death.

 

OP, @crazysccrmd may be right. Sounds like your truck it totaled. Being the honest and caring stranger-on-the-internet that I am, I will buy that truck from you. I'm gonna have to knock $5k off the Kelly Blue Book value though, because of this major defect!
