Ah so you’re the OP, fun thread! We had a party line phone by the way, no privacy but sometimes we could hear the neighbor listening in make some noise and we’d shout “get off the phone Jean!” and then here a click as she hung up.

 

I grew up with a 6 party line when the phones were first installed. A different ring for each house.

Good point lol. I used to say I wanted to go quickly when I die, a nuclear explosion maybe. To which a good friend of mine replied he wanted to die in a shootout in a whorehouse at age 99, and I thought it a far superior plan than mine lol.

This thread is cool. I remember when my parents bought me my first guitar. It was at a Walgreens inside a mall. They had a music both about 20 x 20 and sold guitars and I took my first lesson there too! Probably in the 70's
