Upgraded LED license plate light replacements (factory style)

Does anyone know where you can get the rubber gasket piece? Some jackhole backed into the Tacoma and smashed the RH license plate light so I am going with the LED replacement housings but need the RH gasket. No luck finding it on the dealership website or others.

 

They come with new gaskets, I wired the red let's to my brake lights, gotta use a couple resisters though

 

And if you bypass the 295 loop and stay on 95, Emporia will get ya.

 

Thanks. I was under the impression that the old ones needed to be switched over to the new assemblies

 

Mine came with them, they were plug and play

The white LED are so bright that it makes it hard to see the red especially with having a white bumper too.

 

They are very bright, but you can tone them down with a couple resistors, I thought I was ordering 5, and got 50. So if you need a few...

 

No"gasket". Had to buy one. Found one on ebay ($10) and local stealership for ($8). The name is bizarre "Reinforcement, Rear Bumper, No.3" - They are really really bright, need to test drive at night now.

I swear mine came with gaskets, it's been a few years though, lol. I put a couple resisters on mine to tone them down a tad, also wired the red light to my brake lights, they work awsome

 

How did you wire the resistors?

How are these holding up to the sun from fading? Sometimes aftermarket plastics are not as good as oem

 

I've had them for about 3 years and they still look great, actually they look better than the OEM plastics
