In the process of installing a leveling kit , when I use a tie rod separator it slightly tore the small (1-2”) boot where the tie rod connects. I’ll attach pictures of the toyota diagram. How major is this and is it something i should worry about ?

Depending on how many miles you got, it’s probably cost feasible to just replace the whole joint rather than the boot only. You won’t even need an alignment after if you are careful to measure the threads and replace the joint with the wheel on the ground so the alignment is maintained. It’s not something that needs to be fixed right away but I wouldn’t let it linger for more than a few months.

Not sure how major it is but you could buy OEM currently for 20%.

I’m going to the dealer tomorrow for an alignment, what are the odds they’d have one in stock and do it for me? haha

Odds are very good. The odds you’ll like the bill are not. It’s a $35 part, I bet the dealer pops you $200 for replacement with alignment.

I would ask for a quote for it and see what they come back with. But mevotech and moog are reputable parts that will hold up just as long as OEM. here are their prices ranges just for info.

Wouldnt recommend a dealer for an alignment with an after-market leveling kit. Ive had bad experience with the tech not knowing what he was doing with my lift.

Why would you replace parts that could effect the alignment after you have an alignment done. Get the parts and replace them then go get the alignment.

as far as getting an alignment done, call a local shop that does lifts. Ask if they do alignments. If not, ask them who they use.

+1, run over to your local NAPA store, get the part and install it BEFORE you have the alignment done.
I also wouldn't have the dealer do the alignment, too much chance they'd screw it up.
