Deer hunting BS thread

Last day of hunting for me in Alabama. Great times with family down here! Had a buck do a couple of long growls 20ft from where I was standing this morning, but never came out to where I could get a shot. Not a great way to end the season, but not a bad way either.

Nothing like going through the national park to make you miss deer season.






We saw the big 12 (11 because he broke one off during Rut) back in August 2020 in velvet.

Never found a shed. Never actually been shed hunting. But you’d think I’d find a random one scouting preseason.

 

@dwalden2 the youngins go out alot. ill go with them once in a while. they have so many damn cameras up we usually have them on film. they are checking for the broken off one that my have been a 10. broke right at the G2. looked to be maybe a decent deer.fence rows and travel routes in the green fields are where they find most

 

we are letting a guy trap on our lease for the dreaded coyotes. he is having a good year so far.

 

Hasn’t been any corn here since Christmas

Ive told you my youngins are eat up with deer hunting. Shed hunt yesterday. lol

2 months later I got around to mounting the buck I shot in December. And I got a brand for Christmas so I added a little something to the back

Hey deerhunting friends. im down for a week or three. had melanoma on my ear. they cut a hunk out of it Monday. reconstructive surgery on Tuesday. soo, i cant do crap this week with a rough stitched ear but im going out to the mountain with my son Saturday. he will hunt sheds. ill hang at the truck. and going to walk in to my saddle i found to mark a tree for a stand before leaves come on. boys went in there after snowed layed 2 weeks and could not believe the tracks and traffic in there. only 100yds off our mtn road so easy to get to. Shawns bud told him your ole man may not hunt as hard as he use to but Damn he can find good spots to hunt.OH and to you youngins, use sunscreen and get skin checks every year or you may end up knotched like a hog like me. my wisdom for yal young ones
