So on my way to work, I drove by a gravel truck... and my truck got peppered. Multiple stone chips on the windshield, chips on the fenders and bumper, and worst of all, busted my grill!
Has anyone ever tried repairing damage like this? Maybe it would be possible to find a buddy with a 3d printer, remake the "T", and just glue it back on?
    Or am I out a grill now?20220214_183424.jpg

Is that the grille your truck came with? If so, the oem replacement is only ~$130

Yeah, it's an oem grill. I got it im my head that it would be far more expensive... that's really reasonable.
Can you replace the lettering insert on oem grills?

Isn’t it the gravels truck owner responsible for this ? Chipped windshield, paint is going to add up pretty quick

If I could find him, he'd be paying for certain. The morning commute is gonna cost me somewhere between 2 and 3 hundred by the sounds of things. Not even going to touch up the paint, since all I seen was on plastics, not exposing steel.
But there's a big haul going on right now, so there's multiple companies hauling constantly and lots of trucks in the small town. and I dont have a dash cam, So there's no way at all to track him down. Also no front license plates here... so I feel like it would be like looking for a needle in a needlestack.

And I thought 2022 models come with front facing cams. Anyway, chipped windshield repair by safelite ASAP if you haven’t done it yet. Chip will become a crack quick once you use heater during these cold days
