    I have the same question. I would like to put a spacer on with the spindle, but I don't know if that will hurt the suspension in the long run.

    you can do the daystar spacer, v6 coils, AND the spindles all in the front without issues.

    I would not run a wheel spacer in the rear for more track width. Some people have had issues with them getting stuck on if you offroad the trucks alot

    Thank you, I've been searching for that question for a while.
    If I'm not mistaken, those Moog 81070's were discontinued. Are there other v6 coils that fit 5 lugs, for an extra 1" of lift?

    Thanks for the note about the spacers. I’ll avoid them then. It doesn’t bother me too much to be worth any issues.

    But yeah, like 5lug asked, any specific suggestions on the v6 coils?

    And what about leveling the rear once you bring the front up more? I already have the Fabtech aal. Add shackles? A different leaf pack altogether?

    @MarMarSux

    I would add shackles to the rear as you had mentioned. There are plenty other alternatives for back there to get higher, the limit is the front end on these trucks. @MagnumHelms seems to have found an alternative to the moog springs

    Taco-post1.jpg aye guys,

    so i just did the fabtec spindles, daystar isolators new upper arms( oem moog) new lower ball joints, new outer tie rods, and new kyb shocks in the front, for the rear just did and AAL and new 5125.

    my question is does anyone have balljoint binding issues? I get a popping noise when i turn lock to lock from a dead stop or if backing out of a spot. the balljoint angles doesn't look to bad compared to the factory location. ive had it aligned since doing all the work. it drive straight no weird camber or caster. Just wondering if anyone encounter this issue.

    also anyone do the ford 8.8 swap for the 3.73 lsd?

    Hey Dan!
    Looks great! What size tires are those, looks like you have a lot of room around them for "activities". haha

    I did the same spindles and have no ball joint issues. Maybe has to do with the new control arms or Isolators(ps what is that?)?

    Did the 5125's in the back help with the lift? Whay do kyb up front rather than matching all 4 corners?

    Also, I'd never heard about the "ford 8.8 swap for the 3.73 lsd", can you explain?
    Thanks!

    @MarMarSux

    The coil spring spacer is by Daystar is what I'm referring to as the isolator

    the tires are some 29s they defiantly give me enough room to not worry about hitting the tire on any of the inner fender. i believe Accelra MT01. cheap wallyword tire but i paid $200 for rims and tires so was a deal

    yea seems like my issue might just be something i broke or bent fuckin around in the woods.

    so the 5125 maybe gave it a little bit of a lift since my factory rear shocks where completely blown. i did go with the 33-185606 for the rears since i have the topper. I chose the KYB for the front since I do place to ether find some Doetsch UCA or make something similar to the Downey Mid travel kit thats been DC long ago. ive also been eyeing those OME 2881 springs @MagnumHelms did a write up on as a cheaper less headache option for a little more lift. I don't notice any difference with the miss match. i didn't choose the direct fit for the KYB i believe i found a set that used the same mounting but came off a 70s dodge dart or something mawybe a 240D MB. it was almost near identical with Ext-Comp measurement.Just the extended was about .78 of an inch longer, and the valving was stiffer. again the price point being the biggest factor $70 for both front vs $98 for one side. that im eventually going to rip out.

    for activities I can usually cruise the dirt road in ONF (Ocala National Forest) around 50mph. Hands the OTBP trails quite well clears logs and other small obstacles with no struggle Ive also " jumped " some train tracks nothing crazy just life an inch or 2 off the ground. which may be the issue of the noise. it does quite well although the diff is needed since i did get stuck high siding my rear axle in the mud during xmas.

    so the 8.8 is a swap thats mentioned a few times on here i believe @Das it mang has brought it up in this post even awhile back. so its a direct swap no fab needed and you get a LSD with a little better gearing. also disc rear brakes. seems to be cheapest and easiest way to get some type of diff better suited for dirt roads.

    i wish @Joels98taco was still around on here so i could get the dxf files to make those sweet LBJ mounts he made and the UCA crossbar he made that looks extra beefy. since im to lazy to tear mine apart and measure. he had a pretty sweet build

    Before getting an alignment, does lifting the front cause the camber to increase or decrease?

    I just got done replacing the balljoints and tie rod ends and have V6 springs and spacers ready to install, but I'm concerned about running out of adjustment on the UCAs. It was already wearing the insides of the front tires and there isn't any more than maybe 1/4" of shims on either side. Camber can only be increased toward positive by that much, then the UCAs are directly on the frame.

    Just had the fabtech 3” spindle lift kit installed. Shocks front and back, add-a-leaf and spindles. Came out great! It needed new a-arms and tie rod ends. Upper and lower ball joints were also replaced. Rides really nice. It’s been about a week and I’m happy with it.

    Thanks so much for gathering all this intel here in one spot! I was hoping to upgrade to larger wheels and tires in a few years, but it looks like for the cost of the lift I may just want to consider a down payment on a new vehicle that's closer to the specs I want :eek:

    Was hoping to do close to 5" in the front, and 4" in the back. I had already nabbed the 1.5" spacers because they're good and cheap, but whoooo this stuff adds up real quick!

    As many have mentioned it looks like the Moog v6 coils are discontinued. I found some Lesjofors spring on rock auto that appear to be for a rwd, but wondering if these are prerunner. It’s been covered but somewhat unclear to me if the 6lug (4wd or prerunner) coils work to add as a replacement for the front springs for a 5lug mini. Also some reports that the OME 2880/2881 springs work too. It seems that some people have installed them successfully but others indicate “suspension setups are totally different on 4wd and won’t work”.
    I believe that a 5lug v6 is the coil I’m looking for, and that the prerunner v6 coils are different?

    I don’t really want lift spindles due to the wide trac, I already have some wheels that add poke and don’t want that to be exacerbated by the spindles.

    I’m hoping to add coils and coil spacers for about a 2” lift

    4192515 looks like the best candidate for a pre-2001 5-lug V6. I put 4192516 coils on my '04 which are listed for '01-04 5-lug V6s.

    Alright so update, Lesjofors 4192515 fit in my 1996. Had to use a combination of pry bars and spring compressors. First side about 2 hours and second side about 30 mins. I removed the knuckle and left the upper and lower arms on during install. I didn’t take measurements before like an idiot but here are a couple before and after photos. I would say at least 1.5” with the sagging old springs (230k).IMG_5339.jpg

    @weeksz how does the truck feel/handle with the sturdier 4192515 coils in?
