Got a set of Autoventshade's low profile in-channel ventivisors for my 22 SR5, and they look great except for one flaw: there is a white "AVS" logo on the front two visors. It isn't a sticker or anything that can obviously be removed. The only method I can imagine to remove it is by sanding it, which is obviously a bad idea.

The advertisements don't show the visors with this logo, and it sticks out like a sore thumb against the sea of black. Has anyone successfully removed these without damaging the visors themselves? Thanks.

That is screen printed on the plastic. I got mine off by using a solvent and paper towels. It's been a long time since I did mine, but I think I used Naptha. If you use acetone or lacquer thinner be careful, they could change the surface of the plastic if left on too long and it may look like a dull spot.

I remember reading on here that using Food grade silicone would do it. So probably using regular silicone would do it too. I would do that prior to installation to avoid getting it on the paint and try a little section first. You could also cross check what they are made out of to make sure silicone won't harm the plastic..... which I don't think it would but do your research. I have not tried this so that's my disclaimer as per my attorney's instructions....
