Were they the same type of plastic?

Robby Layton had a video where he said "fish eyes" (lots of paint bubbles) can happen on lots of plastics. He showed that cleaning the surface with thinner can reduce/eliminate the issue.

I'd give a link, but can't remember which video it was.

Yeah they were the trim pieces around the head unit and left of the instrument cluster. Might give it another shot when it warms up a bit.

Okay. Thanks. I’ve heard it’s a pain to get the splines lined up correctly and if you don’t it’s disastrous. Think I’ll do the same when the time comes.

Put on a roll up bed cover. I went with the cheap Amazon Tyger. Super easy install and surprisingly good quality. I'm very happy with it, we will see if it lasts. They say it comes with a lifetime warranty also.20220215_085607.jpg 20220214_170248.jpg 20220215_085429.jpg 20220215_085443.jpg

Mine has been going strong in Phoenix sun for about two years now. I went with Tyger because it was cheaper, and because i didnt want the sun ruining something that was costly. I'm actually surprised it has held up. I have driven it 99% of the time extended and not rolled up. However, it is kept in a garage for the most part when parked.

Have had mine for 2 years with no complaints and it's held up well. The only thing I've had to do was I recently replaced the weatherstripping along the head rail of the bed. The weatherstripping was bowing out in a couple of places.

Thanks guys, I'm glad to hear it lasts. I wanted something to keep stuff in the bed out of sight and out of mind.

Couple of birds decided to draw some abstract art on our paint job yesterday:annoyed: so I gave it a bath and installed the Black Tacoma Emblem Overlay kit from Tacoma Lifestyle since it was clean.

New toy arrived today (Warn VR EVO 10-s). Thought I got a decent deal online @ Autozone for $734. Now just patiently waiting for my SSO Plate Bumper to get built.

Not today but snapped a few pictures Sunday, the first I'd taken since I bought it back in December. Loving it so far!

The ones without acetone would not harm the plastic. That is what I used to remove the decals on my window visors.

Ahhh sales tax bumped the autozone one up to 810$ for me. Hotshot Off-road sells it for 808$. Both have free shipping so I’d say you got a good deal at 734$

Would you feel better if it lied with bigger numbers?

I'm thinking of building and patenting an MBM, a mileage bullshitter monitor. It will offer delusions of grandeur immediately upon filling and feed you bullshit statistics through most of the tank making it look like unicorns and paradise till you hit a reasonably safe distance of say...75 miles till empty, when it breaks the dreadful news you'll be visiting a gas station very soon offering the BOHICA dialog warning. Bend Over Here It Comes Again.

What do you think of the road ride, now? Thinking about doing mine. Not sure if I should do Block or AAL in the ass end.

Did you go DIY or have somebody deal with the coils for you?
