Not many places to camp and wheel in the East Bay, but the next event I am aware of is at Hollister Hills on Feb 26th.

So… factory battery took a shit on me while I was over an hour away from home. Got someone to jump me and made it back but battery was toast. So I replaced it. Which is fun because because of all the electrical fun stuff I’ve dealt with on my dǝǝſ.

Anyway I realized on the drive home that I had no way to see what the voltage was. Only thing this truck lets you see readily is tire pressure :derp: and coolant temp.

Anyone have any luck with an obd2 plug and play gauge with the other things that are important? Like voltage. Or oil pressure and trans temp would be nice too. Real time.

    Thanks.

Just wire in a voltage gauge. I use one that also has two USB ports. As far pulling up the other info from the Heep goes. If the ECU reports it you should be able to use Torque Pro to see it.

Ha. I use something similar for voltage with the Jeep. It’s more accurate than the oem guage and it has usb plugs. I think I have that sorted. At least until I use my winch again… I carry a couple spare 50a fuses now.

I was hoping there was a non intrusive plug style something that people have used. I’m doing my google research right now…

    Thanks!

Torque Pro and a decent bluetooth ODBII scanner will get you what you want. What year is the Jeep?

    Jeep is a 93 with the 4.0.

Meant to ask about my ‘17 Tacoma for the voltage stuff. My bad if I was wasn’t clear. Re-reading my post I’m thinking I shouldn’t have mention my shit pile. Kind of confused the message.

    I use this:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073XKQQQW?ie=UTF8
with OBDFusion app to monitor the transmission temps on the Tundra because, lucky me, I bought the first year they deleted the trans cooler. Pairs every time.
Rather than buy the Tundra add-in on the app, I found the custom PID settings online and set them up.

I have the same setup for my Tacoma. I monitor trans temps, torque converter lockup and a few other stats while I’m towing. Only issue I have is it seems to lose the connection after about 1 hour but if I restart the app it comes back.

I use one of these to monitor my battery, since I have an AGM and tweaked the alternator output to charge it properly. It reads 14.4 to14.5 now.

Anyone interested in a set of 2nd/3rd Gen - Fox - Coilovers - with resi and clickers for $2100?

    666726507.jpg 666726523.jpg

The shop I buy my tires from (and got my Fox suspension from) ordered these for a customer, and the customer backed out. They reached out to me, because they know I know a lot of Toyota people. They are legit, and they're not going to make shit on these. They just want to recoup the amount they are out. Brand new, only reason the box is open is I told them I needed pictures to post.

    $2100 cash
If card, they'll have to charge tax

These are the details on them. https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/fox-2...ock-adjustable-880-06-376/_/R-BKTK-880-06-376

Oh man, I know a buddy who's looking for a deal on FOX-880-06-418 (gives an extra inch of lift but requires UCAs). I don't think he'll go for these, but $100 off and no tax seems pretty nice in the current market.

He'll... Just the fact that they are ready for pick up, literally, today... should be worth a lot.

I waited 22 weeks to get my coilovers last year.

My buddy took his Tacoma there for some work and they did good work. He’s also a body shop guy so his eye for work is a little more intense

Are you near the Airport Fire?

Crazy to be worried about fires in February. Stay safe!
