Just brought home 2022 TRD Sport - Brakes go to floor to stop truck. So frustrated, wish I kept my 2020. I guess back to dealer soon as it is scary to drive that way. Anyone think backing up to adjust brakes will help? Their inbound vehicle "Safty Check" and inspection must be a real joke.

Probably just a bad master cylinder with something that new.
Could be something as simple as a loose connection that introduced air into the system.

The sports have a regular vacuum brake booster, so you avoid the complexity of the fancy one of the TRD OR.

You bought the worse year you could. Nobody working and the ones that do are over worked. Either drive it back to the dealership or probably better off letting them tow it back.

Call dealership, state that it is unsafe, brakes go to floor, ask when the tow truck will arrive to tow it in for warranty service. Ask for a demo tacoma while yours is being repaired. Be very friendly, but firm and insist that this is a aberration, and you understand they want to fix it, as much as you want it fixed.

    See how it goes.

Any trouble, next step call the toyota service number in your owners manual.

Get on the phone to the dealer first thing in the morning. Don't drive it an inch. Their problem, and a huge possible liability. If they don't respond immediately with a tech/rollback, get on the horn to the mother ship.

No I think it did help, I read backing up and stopping adjusts the rear brakes. So I tried it and seemed to help, they are better than they were.

Rear brakes are adjusted by using the parking brake

Welcome and sorry to hear of your troubles. These things can happen unfortunately. As suggested just call your dealer. I'm sure they will get it repaired ASAP. let us know what happens.

That's all master cylinder. Talk about a quality job on PDI on part of that dealer.

I'll make sure to go buy a new vehicle from them when I'm in your neck of the woods.

I had a summer job at a Dodge dealership as a “lot boy”. From what I could tell I was dealer prep.
