2015 Tacoma sporadic honking issue

Over the last six months or so, my truck has been sporadically honking. It does a light honk when I start it up and then twenty seconds later, it honks twice in a row loudly. Everyone thinks I'm trying to get their attention. What's strange is I have no way to predict when it will happen but it always follows the same pattern when it does. A diagnostic at my local shop runs $150. Can anyone help me on this? Is it a remote issue?

 

You sure you don’t have an electrically savvy friend that likes pranks? We did this to a kid’s Mazda in engineering school once…

Beyond that, don’t know what to look for.

 

Do you have an aftermarket remote start/alarm installed? If you do I'd start there.
