Still on the hunt for a 2nd gen! This popped up at the dealer and wondering about the "Rear Wheel Drive w/ 4x4". Is this an SR5? I searched in the Toyota VIN look up and it didn't give many answers either.

It’s rear wheel drive until it’s in 4 Wheel Drive.
Nothing wrong there, that’s just normal “car terminology”.

Makes sense, thanks. Do you have any thoughts on identifying the trim as well?

You could make an account on the Toyota website. It’s under “Owners”.
Add the VIN and it should tell you all you need. Or at least you used to be able to.

    But this might help also.

double cab long bed, I think they only came in SR5’s and Sports. That truck doesn’t have a hood scoop so probably an SR5

Tried that on the Toyota website too but this was the only info it gave me, which I thought was strange. I searched forums and saw others had better luck on the website. It shows a "TRD" in the picture but not sure if that's actually what it is.

If you click “View Specs” what does it say?
It’s under the vin in your picture.

Yeah I tried that before I posted here, nothing happens when I click that - I tried both on my phone and desktop. Strange.

Strange. It’s been awhile since I used the site.
I know mine showed everything. Even dealer installed options I think.

Deciding between this truck (150k miles) and a 2013 tx pro (32k miles). this one is more in the price range by a lot… thank you for your help confirming it’s an SR5.

The grill looks like it was plasti-dipped.
I’d considered the 2013 if it is not a lot more.
I’m just not feeling it on that truck.

the 2013 is $35k firm and 2011 is $19.5., so a big difference
the 2013 is clean, just not sure if we ready to drop that much on it and looking at other options (long bed is appealing too)
really appreciate your input its been tough to figure out what to do!
