i have heated Leather seats in my 2010 sport but not a factory option
Apparently as the truck was coming into Canada , the heated seats were installed at the Port

The seats are very comforting when its 50 below zero
definitely a need for them up here .

I have often thought about adding a cooling feature to the seats for the summer months .
If you do a search on the heated seat topic , you are going to find a lot of issues with the factory heated seats .

Install was a bitch but I put in some Amazon brand heated seat elements. I think the brand was "Water Carbon" IIRC. Those upholstery clips suck to work with. Ended up cutting most of them off and used zip ties to hold on the seat cover after.

If you're married or share a car with your significant other, having powered seats is extremely convenient. The fact that the 19 tacoma pros weren't built with power seats blows my mind. It's annoying as hell manually adjusting the seat after my wife takes the truck to the store or decides to drive.

I went this route on 3 vehicles and can confirm it is a major pain to install but very nice once they are done. I usually break it up into 2 different days of work-1 per seat-as I get sick or working on it. Funny thing is, I sold my 2019 (which I had installed these heaters) for my 2021 to get the power seat option, but now don't have heated and miss it. Not sure if I am going to tackle this one more time this spring or just live without. I gotta quit buying new trucks!
