To begin I would like to say that before I started the project the truck was in complete prompter allignment, I replaced the lower control arms with a pre pressed ball joint and used new SPC cam bolts. I tightened everything up while it was jacked up and The passenger side is visually toed out a crazy amount, I somehow managed to drive it to the allignment shop that’s 2 miles away and it was sketchy. They said they cannot allign it almost as if I have been in an accident or my frame is bent or something, they tried adjusting all 4 of the cam bolts and couldn’t get the passenger side tire to toe in… here are some photos.

upload_2022-2-17_12-1-13.jpgThe drivers side looks completely fine I don’t know what i did to that side that could be any different and keep in mind I did not mess with the tie rods at all that’s the only thing that i believe can cause toe out right?

    No offense, but…

did you put the cam bolts in backwards, upside down or mix up front and rear?

"Toe" is adjusted with the tie rods? The LCA cams control Caster and Camber. Try a different alignment shop.

pics would help. from the front. under looking at your cam bolts and the tie rod to see how many threads you have to dial in the toe.

FYI, any suspension bolt that runs through a rubber bushing has to be tightened with the vehicles weight on it. If you tighten it while in the air you run the risk of tearing up the bushing once the vehicle weight is on it. Pretty sure that could be the problem.

Hard to tell, but something looks hinky with that lower ball joint boot, and…

your tie rod looks pretty maxed “in”

Exactly I understand But when the factory lower control arms were on the vehicle the tie rods were in the exact same location I haven’t messed with the toe rods, as soon as i put everything back together before i even put the tire on I could visually notice toe out only on the passenger side while the steering wheel was straight @whatstcp

This may be a uselessly odd question, but have you tried comparing the length of the new LCA to the old LCA? If the new LCA is SHORTER, that would affect the relationship between the rotation point of the LCA and the rotation point of the tie rod, pushing the front of the tire out like that.

But same for if the adjusting bolts are incorrect as others have stated - if the LCA is being pulled in further than it should be, that would make the front pushed out.

either way - like whatstcp said is true - they never attempted to mess with the tie rods (toe). when a shop aligns, they should get the before measurements and then provide the after when done. get the before and after from them. you could also mark the cam bolts and the tie rod and when they're done see what movements were made.

Those SPC cam bolts are junk. I would swap back to OEM cams, replace inner and outer tie rods, and then get it aligned again.

The same shit everyone else has.
Toe is done with the tie rods/ends, not the cams.

Only caster/camber are set using the 4 LCA cams.

Also, ditch the SPC cams and replace them with OEM.

now find a competent shop to do the alignment

They probably didn't touch the tie-rods because they're rusty af, but they should have said something or declined to attempt the alignment.

If that vehicle came to me I would politely suggest new tie rods before any alignment work
