    Well, jungle gym removed :burp:

Posted it on FB yota club, and aside from a few being tagged, no takers. Must not be many LC owners near me.

Rear is filthy; it's pretty torn too so I may need to source a new rear carpet section.

    20220216_173844.jpg

Last night, I had a sudden desire to remove the front seat covers (free for anyone before I toss them).

I was genuinely surprised to see what great shape the passenger seat is.

Makes me glad I went with dim gray leather from Lseat.com

On second thought, I may want to replace the leather on the passenger seat.

Main reason is the shade is slightly darker on the factory seat. That and the new leather is really soft.

It'll give me a chance to figure out the motor situation as well; it works but dies out shortly after until I let it rest again. Having gone with an aftermarket seat would mean figuring out the heater situation below the seat.

The heaters are really easy to figure out. Take it out and loop the lines until you're ready to take out the lines. The only thing you have to do is patch the hole on the floor. I would just pop rivet in a flat piece of metal with some body sealer around the edges

Hmmmm...could be an item to add to the list of to-do's.

Really, I'll never use it. Never used it in the 4Runner.

They're a high risk part, the lines always break or leak at the t fittings. Should really remove em at the engine side too

    Damn I mean, makes sense.

More parts = more shit to break

Since I'm pretty much damn near redoing the interior, my last order of business will be the entire carpet. I see full replacements are offered, even with add-on backing for sound deadening and insulation. Doing an entirely new carpet will bring new life to the inside.

Will be a project for later on of course.

So, if you've got an LC and your window trim needs replacing....spend the 5 minutes it takes to replace it.

Got one for each side cause, you know.

    20220217_124015.jpg

The old trim, hanging out like a night crawler on a busy street.

    20220217_123753.jpg

It doesn't help that the white clips broke as well, but here's the main reason why the rear popped up and out.

The tab broke at the end broke as well.

    20220217_124049.jpg

Removing that screw, and undoing the 3x 10mm bolts holding the mirror (not completely), you should able to pull the forward most part of the trim out. There's one last clip there.

    20220217_124055.jpg

    Lower the window to uninstall.

Keep window lowered to ease install of new trim.

    20220217_124731.jpg

    Discard old piece, and done.

    20220217_124751.jpg

Really, I should've bought the rears as well. I will do so to match, but for now it's "enough".

You say that now, you’re bound to get paint transfer at the mall. Whether it be yellow barrier paint or paint from someone’s door dings

    Naw, I got sliders.

Those Starbucks drive-thrus are tight though so I might hit that front bumper :burp:

    Will do; here's the thread.

Because I ordered both the vehicle-specific base and slider track, those shipped separately from VA so I won't see them until I'm back from camping.

But I really wanted to upgrade my driver seat to something different seeing as how I already 'upgraded' the interior.

You'll see the pics in previous pages.

    Out with the old...

The seats really could've come out better, having left them out in the sun so the leather is easier to stretch and work with, but I needed the seats back today.

I will say, it's so much softer than the old stuff.
