I've recently gotten back into some old hobbies. One old hobby that I set aside for a long time was folding knives. I had a small collection of reasonably inexpensive blades, three CRKT knives, a pair of Kershaws, and some old Victorinox knives.

Then, I found bladehq. And then, I bought a Benchmade. And I love it. But, it's slightly more expensive than I would like for daily carry, and it's... flashy. So, I grabbed a Civivi elementum. And then there was the Leatherman that I grabbed on sale...

So, the Elementum is really nice for daily use. It's subdued with wood scales, black hardware, a black coated blade, it's light enough that I don't care, it's got D2 blade steel... But the grind isn't great on it. The cutting edge bevel is very... steep? The blade is sharp, but not very. So, I'd like to reprofile the grind.

Would it be better to get a wetstone kit and do it by hand, or should I get a sharpener kit?

Next up will be a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 and a Flytanium with titanium scales. I think, if I can get the stuff to polish the blade to a mirror finish, it might be a good candidate for a show knife.
