Tinting windows in a vehicle obviously does have a practical reason besides the "cool factor".

 

The controller provided in the kit provides all the canbus interface necessary, there is no need for a maestro RR.

 

Can it be configured to flip the controls to the correct orientation? The fact that the volume is left and right while the next/previous is up/down drives me nuts

 

Nice video! The kit also works with 2nd Gen Tacomas and 5th Gen T4Rs, except I'll probably need to make an extension for the 4Runner. The inverter is in the back of the truck.

 

Yes, you can go into the unit settings and adjust the standard controls to your liking.

 

Do your steering wheel controls work and if so, what did you use to make them work?

Got ones similar to these from extreme terrain. Call them or chat and ask them to check the catalog price. It’s cheaper sometimes. Got mine for $365. Love them.

hey man I accidentally did this to myself when I installed my seat heater pads. That black mesh looking part has a hard plastic piece that is supposed to be flipped in on itself and then tucked into a groove along some metal piece(I think it’s the recliner bracket). It looks like they just barely missed the groove or didn’t tuck it 100%. Really annoying to look at, but you could fix it in about 10 minutes if you remove and flip the seat over. I don’t think it’s a bad seam sew, it really looks just like what I did.

 

Added my RCI ditch light brackets and Rigid D-SS Pro ditch lights with yellow covers.
