Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with the radio cycling on and off on its own.
Got a 2018 SR5, radio plays for about 5 seconds then stops and reboots itself like when you first start the truck.
Just keeps doing this over and over. Bluetooth still working and CD player works but screen is blank when playing. Screen is working on radio till it stops after about 5 seconds and restarts itself. I did notice at the top right of the screen there is a little square box that says No Service. Bought the truck about 4 months ago and it was working fine till today.
Any ideas what could be causing this or anyone have a similar problem.
    Thanks for any input

Are you trying to listen to XM radio? Maybe the free trial ran out?

Mine will reboot itself occasionally, but if it’s continuously doing it I would try removing one of the battery cables for a minute and try it again.

Will try that, thanks for your help. After researching here it looks like it may also be related to Bluetooth and may need a firmware update.

I’m pretty sure there was TSB for this exact issue. I’m sure you could find it.

You cannot update it if the system is in a reboot loop.

Unfortunately you likely need a new headunit.

Mine has rebooted itself once since new, was just randomly while listening to SiriusXM driving down the highway. It rebooted, and continued functioning normally afterward.

Occasionally, when I turn the truck on and the screen displays the warning and the "Continue" button in the bottom right, the button won't appear. The unit will still play whatever source was last on, Sirius, etc., but the screen is unresponsive. It'll reboot itself after maybe 30 sec, or I'll hold the volume button down. After that it works like normal. This has happened maybe 10 times or so in 2+ years of ownership.

Same headunit in our 21 Rav4, that unit has given us all kinds of problems. The unit rebooted randomly while driving, and since then the sound is dead flat. Making changes to the bass, treble does nothing. Same behavior whether you're listening to Sirius, AM/FM, Bluetooth or Android Auto. This one is going to the dealer soon for diagnosis.
