    Hey guys,

I’m pretty new to the forum and absolutely love it! I noticed something weird with my truck the other week and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this. Since I owned my Taco, when I filled up my tank, the gauge for tank range would read 385 miles. A few weeks ago, that range dropped to 373 when I filled the tank. I was wondering if a gummed up PCV valve may be the culprit. Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated, thanks for your help!

At least you miles to empty changes, mine has been stuck as some stupid overinflated value since new. But no, the PVC valve is not the culprit, really bad computer calculator is the culprit.

I'm curious how you equated the reduction of the average MPG decrease by 12 miles to a problem with the PCV valve? To answer your question, try this experiment. Drive like a hypermiler during the next tank and watch that number go over 400 easily. I do believe it averages the previous tank or all the previous tanks to ascertain that number. Not sure on that but maybe someone else knows.

    Friday??

Your distance to empty is based on your average miles per gallon.

TacoSupremo19: I was doing some research on possible causes and one mentioned that a gummed up PCV valve could cause a loss in MPG (among other issues). I figured I would check on the forum to see if anyone else had this experience. I should have come here first, it would have saved me some time. Thank you guys for your help and input! Hope you all have a great weekend!
