21 TRD OR w Fox 2.5 DSC and Element billeted UCA added 2 months ago.
Took it to get some work done to it and it came back making this squeaking sound when I turn the steering wheel. I was told by the mechanic that he sprayed silicone somewhere on my suspension.
Have a long trip to make Monday FL to NC (Bragg) and am worried something is going to happen.

Won’t let me upload the 6second video where u can clearly hear the squeaking sound which is very bad

What work did you get done to the truck? I’d guess it’s your UCA uniballs. There’s a variety of options for lubricant that you can find for them.

Video downloaded from YouTube. I just had the reservoir relocated. And diff gear oil changed (new 529 gears 1000 miles ago). Not sure why the young mechanic sprayed silicone on the suspension. But that’s what he told me. GF drove it home and I didn’t notice until I got home.

Is it really that loud or did you crank up the volume?

Either way I'd be back at that shop 1st thing monday if they're not open on Saturdays

I didn’t do anything to the sound. It’s really that loud. I’m letting the owner of the shop know this morning. Have a F ing trip to go to and now will have to rent a car for 2 weeks!

Don’t overreact, 99% chance you don’t need to go rent a car. Relocating a power steering reservoir doesn’t make that sound and neither does fresh differential fluid. More than likely the mechanic sprayed some shitty lube on the uniballs and you just need to get the right stuff on them.

I relocated the Shock reservoir. not power steering reservoir. I’m wondering if it was the silicone that was sprayed on it since it only happened after I got it back from the shop

    what lube do you recommend?
And where should I place it?
Take the cap off and inject there?

For that noise, you'd primarily spray the uniballs. Unless you have massive caster and offset wheels jacking the suspension when you turn, then spray the actual heim joint; not the heim adjustment as you pointed out. It's good to service both anyway.
Tri-flow is what most 4x4 shops sell/use. Anything with PTFE that goes on wet and dries to a film will do in a pinch.

I'd be hesitant...looks like it's just mineral oil.
    PTFE=teflon...
A more readily available substitute might be Superlube oil...don't know if it dries to a film though. You want it to dry to a film so it doesn't attract contaminants.

Get used to noises and creaks. Heim/Uniball joints are for racing application and require regular maintenance along with being unforgiving and noisy because racing is about performance not comfort and quiet.

As far as lube, contact the manufacturer for what they recommend. Sometimes those rod ends (heim joints) are not serviceable and are intended to stay dry and use the outer bearing liner as the "lube". Lubing them can be the worst thing for them. If taht is the case, it's probably too late to get enough out to make a difference but you can just replace the rod ends. They should be cheap (relatively).

Fox 2.5 and heim joint control arms on a daily driver

Sprayed some Teflon/PTFE in the ball joint which later turned white. Sound is gone!

I have a very similar sound on my 2017 Tacoma. Not as loud though. I know I need to lubricate my ball joints and the bushings of the UCAs so we'll see if that's the issue. Problem is, that for the UCAs, I am missing a Zirc fitting on the driver's side ball joint. I know, it's pretty dirty.
